As the nurse manager, I rarely have the responsibility of answering the phones, but yesterday I had the opportunity to receive a very encouraging phone call while performing lunch break phone coverage.A young teenage women named Kayla was calling to set up a follow-up appointment for her friend. After explaining to her that I would need to speak to her friend directly, she thanked me with very sincere gratitude but then proceeded with “I need to tell you something…”
The friend she was calling to set up the appointment for had visited Woman to Woman the week before for pregnancy testing and an ultrasound. According to Kayla, her friend was very set on having an abortion. So after Kayla heard of the services offered at Woman to Woman through a sermon at her church, she believed that the clinic was her friend’s only hope. Kayla had shared the gospel with her friend and had invited her to church numerous times with no receptivity. It wasn’t until after visiting Woman to Woman, hearing the truth about abortion and receiving the Gospel, Kayla’s friend had not only changed her mind about having an abortion but had also gone to church with Kayla, with plans to continue. Kayla was so excited and as she sweetly attributed her friend’s change of heart to our services, I reminded her that while this is God’s work, it was her obedience that paved the road.
John 5:24 “I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life.”
